Fish Route

Sesimbra is the fishing hotspot that best represents the region of Lisbon. Fish and fishing are at its heart and we'll discover how local fisherman and families have lived here over the generations, from tasting the traditional "toasted flour" taken by fisherman to sea, to making the traditional fish stews made aboard the "traineiras" boats. We'll also set sail aboard a traditional boat and enjoy a visit to the historic Lota market. Finishing off our day, we'll have the unique experience of participating in the art of "Xávega", the ancient art of fishing in the region.
