We wake up with the smell of freshly baked bread and head for Arraiolos. Here where they make world famous rugs, we can also enjoy adventures such as sports fishing and hunting. Now with our bellies full, we take a trip to Évora, where by the temple of Diana we learn about the "city-museum" that is Évora. With a huge concentration of historical buildings in it's centre, we cross people from all over the world who have come to see the sights and taste the food. With the little day time left, we have a wine tasting at the Convent of Espinheiro. Then, heading for Monsaraz, where a late dinner waits with the best of Alentejo on the table. After dinner, a challenge, can you walk to the top of the village and see the views?

Monsaraz - Alqueva - Sesimbra - Lisboa

Starting off bright and early with the fresh wind from the lake we head towards Alqueva, for a guided return boat trip, around the village of Luz, with lunch and visit to the museum. Listen and get involved in the countless stories that mark this land and the details of the fauna and flora of this large body of water, while the boat makes it's way past the villages of Estrela and Campinho. Enjoying a buffet style lunch with typical Alentejo food, at the only hill left from the old village, right by the shore. Visit to the museum of Luz - a space of culture and indentity. We return to the coast, leaving Alqueva in our memory and head towards Sesimbra. Sesimbra has the charm of a place full of people from the sea. A walk by it's narrow and steep streets lets us observe the sea motifs that splash the houses, the present of the fishing nets and other sea inspired themes shows us the fishing community's importance here.
